Snow, and More Snow in the Sierra Foothills

Happy Monday everyone! It’s bright and sunny, after a big storm all weekend, dumping more snow on the region. I measured almost 17 inches of snow in my yard. Places higher up, like Tahoe and Mammoth, got as much as 5-10 FEET of snow!!

To start off the week, here’s a photo from the same scene I shared a couple days ago, shot the prior week. This one is a tighter shot of the big oak tree, with the layer of clouds in the background. This shot shows the ground fog laying above the snow, creating an almost mystical effect.
