Hello everyone – I’ve been thinking about what to write to you all given what’s going on in the world. With a global pandemic going on, it’s obviously a time of uncertainty and fear. And increasingly, people are being asked to stay at home, interrupting normal lives, and in many cases, impacting pay.
I think the best I can do is to wish you all good health, and along with you all, I hope this situation passes quickly, so everyone can return to normal life. Take care if you must go out among others.
I’ll share here an aerial photo I captured recently overlooking a highway through the mountains near where I live. This highway is closed for the winter, as in a typical winter it’s covered in snow, as are the mountain passes. It’s a simple photo, but conveys the sense of the area. As you observe the expanse of forest, with the alpenglow on the mountains beyond, imagine the silence except for some wind in the trees, and the occasional chirping of a bird. Imagine the smell of the forest. Peace and good health to you all!
