Happy Friday everyone! As we look forward to the weekend ahead, I found myself contemplating a backpacking trip I took in mid September several years ago in the Eastern Sierra in California. It was several miles up to a high valley with a number of lakes, and I found an out of the way spot to camp at around 11,000 feet. When I awoke the next morning, the air was crystal clear, the sky was deep blue, and their was hardly a sound. What a beautiful spot it was, and how fortunate I was to be there.
