Capturing the Beauty of Nature.

“You don’t take a photo, you make it”
– Ansel Adams

Much of my photography involves landscapes and nature, and that usually involves hiking or exploring by car. As not everyone gets to see some of these places, especially on hikes in back-country wilderness, my goal is to give you a sense for what they’re like, to enable you to “feel” it as if you’re there.

When I’m not out in wilderness areas or national parks, I enjoy capturing aerial imagery using a quadcopter. The unique viewpoints offered by this method can result in stunning visuals. I have my FAA Part 107 (Remote Pilot) license for commercial operation of “small unmanned systems”, commonly known as drones.

I believe in and in my own small way support organizations which help protect our natural world. These include Nature First Photography, the JMT Wilderness Conservancy, and the Yosemite Conservancy. I also support Kiva (providing micro loans to individuals and groups in under-developed areas), and closer to home, the Mother Lode Food Project (providing food to those in need). I’m also a member of the Sonora Photo Club, a group of local photographers ranging from beginner to professional.

Thanks for taking the time to stop by. I’d love to hear from you, and will be glad to answer any questions. Just reach out using the support link above. If you’d like to see more of my work, please check out my Facebook page.
